Train Beyond Comfortable

Comfort when training is your enemy.

No matter your goals, if you are always training within your comfort zone, you will not make progress.

Your body thrives and adapts when pushed. Your body is incredible. If you do nothing, it will adapt to that. It adapts to cope with what it is regularly required to do. If you push it, your body will think “ok, this is the new normal. I need to get stronger to cope with this new stimulus”.

If you lift heavier weights. Yor muscles will become stronger to cope. If you raise your heart rate more, your heart will become stronger. And this is the case with every part of your body. Your lungs, ligaments, tendons, everything.

Thats not to say that if you are feeling under the weather or not quite up to it, that you can’t just do a maintenence session. You absolutely can. But this shouldn’t be regular. It shouldn’t be the “norm”. Most of your workouts should push your body further than it is accustomed to.

Train hard. Train safe. Train consistently.
